Slaley Hall extends search for the UK’s best wedding speech

imageSlaley Hall, which launched QHotels’ Wedding Speech Awards in June, has now extended the entry period, allowing those taking to the microphone at weddings this summer to enter the awards.

Speech-givers in the North East can now enter the competition until 30th September, by posting a video of the speech on QHotels’ Facebook page, along with the hashtag #WeddingSpeech.

The 2016 Wedding Speech Awards will recognise the best speeches given at weddings across both the North East and the whole of the UK, whether emotional, sentimental or just plain hilarious, with the chance to win some great QHotels breaks and leisure days.

The panel of judges, including Robin Bayley from Wedding Speech Guru, will put together a shortlist of entries and the public will then be invited to vote for their winner.

Christopher Wayne-Wills, General Manager at Slaley Hall, said: “We know July and August are popular months when it comes to weddings, so we want speech-givers in the North East to show off their creativity and inspire others by sharing their memorable speeches. There’s still time to enter!”

Robin, from Wedding Speech Guru, said: “QHotels’ Wedding Speech Awards is a great way to celebrate both traditional and unique speeches.

“I work with a range of people to help create memorable and personal speeches, from best men and grooms to brides and bridesmaids who want to say a few words, so it’s great to be involved in a competition that wants to hear from and recognise anyone brave enough to take the stand at a wedding.”

Entries can be submitted by the speech-givers themselves or a wedding guest, and must be available on a public video platform.

QHotels has also recently created a Wedding Wellbeing Guide – a guide for brides to ensure they’re feeling their best on their big day. It’s available to download at: QHotels.co.uk/weddings/wedding-wellbeing
