As you meander down the drive, past the meadows and through the oak trees, you will arrive at one of Yorkshire ‘s grandest country houses. Built and owned by the Dugdale family until 1977 this is a house that has played host to lords, queens and diplomats over the years including HRH The Queen Mother, Sir Winston Churchill and Macmillan. The grand Drawing Room is steeped in period features and originally designed to be the main room in the house and still is today. In the Summer the French doors can be opened giving a magnificent view of the front lawn and in the Winter you and your friends can dine in front of the original log fire.

Do you provide a dedicated wedding Co-ordinator? Yes
What does the wedding co-ordinator do? Your point of contact throughout the lead up to your big day, your wedding coordinator will be on hand to answer any queries you have, arrange meetings to discuss your wedding detail with you and then ensure the operations team are fully aware of your wedding details.
What photograph locations do you have? South facing lawn, wooded areas either side of lawn, sunken garden with water feature, full use of the public areas inside of the Hall should the weather be unkind.
Are fireworks permitted on your premises? Yes, silent fireworks
How many wedding function suites do you have; and what is Capacity of each suite? Our Drawing Room can accommodate up to 100 guests for your wedding breakfast or 150 for your evening function.
Are you licensed to perform Civil Ceremonies? – If yes how many rooms do you have and what capacity are the rooms? Our Edwardian room and Presidents Lounge are licensed for civil ceremonies, the maximum capacity of the Edwardian room is 90 guests and the Presidents Lounge is 30; perfect for small and intimate weddings from just the two of you!
