Wedding Questions

On what days do you hold weddings? Usually Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays

Do you provide a dedicated wedding Co-ordinator? Yes (We have a venue wedding co-ordinator)

What does the wedding co-ordinator do? The Wedding Co-ordinator will arrange appointments for every Bride and Groom to show them around the hotel. They will put a personalised package together for them, based on their minimum numbers and preferred date. They will then be the Bride and Grooms main point of contact up until the wedding to answer any questions regarding the hotel and their special wedding day. 2 weeks prior, we will arrange a final wedding appointment, where the Operations Supervisor who will be managing the wedding on the day will also join them to discuss all of the finer details.

What photograph locations do you have? Hotel, Swing Bridge, Tyne Bridge and Quayside

Are fireworks permitted on your premises? No           

 

Function Suites

How many wedding function suites do you have and what is Capacity of each suite? We have large room called the Gateshead Suite that can a maximum of 432 people seated. This room can also be partitioned into 3 separate rooms, which can each hold 120 people seated banquet style in each. We also have rooms 6 7 and 8. These rooms are located downstairs in the hotel on minus level one; they have views that over look the Tyne and all of its bridges. With a dance floor area, this room can hold a maximum of 72 people seated and 80 people standing.

Are you able to offer a marquee/Conservatory/Orangery? No

If yes can you provide the Marquee?    N/A

Are you licensed to perform Civil Ceremonies? Yes

Do you do onsite catering? We have a personalised package for any Bride and Groom that wishes to use an external caterer.            

What time can you have the function room till? Last orders 1:30am and carriages 2am

Are you able to decorate the function room for the bride and groom? No (Outside event/decor companies would be sourced by the Bride and Groom externally)      

Can you provide a Cake Stand and Knife to cut cake? Yes      

Can you provide a Toast Master? Yes. Our Operations Supervisor/Manager can make all announcements

Are you able to print and provide a table plan? Yes

Can you provide a disco/DJ?   Yes. We have a resident DJ and Disco. They are called Electric Nite and are chargeable at £220.00.

Can you provide table linen? What colours?    Yes, white

Can you provide chair covers? What colours? Yes, black only            

Is there a resident bars? What time is it open till? Closes for cash sales at 11pm. After 11pm the bar is open for residents only. This will close at the bar mans discretion.

Do the Bride and Groom get a complimentary stay? This solely depends on the personalised package that is put together for the Bride and Groom.

Do you offer a discounted rate of hotel room for wedding guests? We offer the best available rate at time of booking

Check in and out times? Check in at 3pm and check out at 12pm
